“An excellent mediator. . . he listened impeccably well and demonstrated genuine caring for us.”
“Totally focused and attentive to us. . .”
“You made the process much easier and helped reduce the stress. . . I’m grateful.”
“Words cannot fully express my gratitude I felt heard for the first time and a sense of empowerment I lost years ago. And I know my ex and his lawyer also felt great about what you did.” – A few comments from Dan Simon’s family mediation clients.
I’ve mediated and trained mediators since 1998. I’ll help you have a high quality conversation about whatever you disagree about or are uncertain about. You’ll never feel pressured by me, but only supported in making the best possible decisions, based on what you want. My credentials for this sort of work are among the best in the world. You’re always welcome to call me to talk about your situation.
I received my law degree, cum laude, and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota. I earned my B.A., with honors, from the University of California at Berkeley. Although I am licensed to practice law in Minnesota, I prefer to practice mediation exclusively. Before creating Simon Mediation, I worked as a business litigation attorney and as a family business consultant. Throughout my career, I have sought better ways to intervene in cases of highly emotional conflict, as well as cases that are all about money.
I am a past Chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Section. Also, I am a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court’s ADR Ethics Board (which is responsible for upholding ethical standards of ADR providers). I’m a member of the Board of Directors and also a Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation. I have the highest possible rating (AV – Preeminent) from Martindale Hubbell and the highest possible rating (10.0 – Superb) on Avvo.com.”
