Divorce is a life experience. Mediation and Collaborative Divorce goes beyond the legal process and treats it as such. This work is ‘peacemaking’.
Divorce is not the end of the family…there are children, grandchildren, graduations, weddings and funerals… As a peacemaker, my mission is to help you and your family journey through this crisis with a better future and hope for a family that does not remain in conflict and continue to cause pain to your children and grandchildren.
As a professional, Bart has diligently and extensively studied and trained in the legal processes of litigation, mediation and collaboration. Bart is teaching these skills at Western State College of Law and co-founded the Collaborative Divorce Education Institute to teach other professionals.
As a human being, Bart recognizes that the vast majority of people want to be fair and move away from conflict with dignity and respect to find peace. As a peacemaker, coming to the practice of Mediation and Collaborative Law is coming home.
Bart graduated from Western State University College of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1988. Bart has actively practiced Collaborative Law since February 2004 and Mediation since 1998.
